Tyler Floyd returns to catch up on what he’s been up to to stay busy during the quarantine. There is going to be some new music from his band Parkway & Columbia sometime in the near future, and he is currently accepting projects to produce/ mix/ master, so hit him up! He’s one of the producers I’ve been working with to make the In A Daydream record and I highly recommend working with him. Enjoy the episode! Air date: 4/27/2020.

I released my first episode on 4/13/19, which was an impromptu hang at a house show with Past Life from Philadelphia. This episode was recorded on 4/13/20 with Past Life again! The circle of life is complete! Oh and it’s the 69th episode and it aired on 4/20, neither of which were planned, proving that God truly is one of us. Follow Past Life and keep an eye out for their new full length, coming soon! Thanks for listening, everybody. Air date: 4/20/2020.

ITN 68 | The Something Others (Madison Heights, MI)

Dave from The Something Others has been a fan of the podcast since day 1, so it was a pleasure to finally be able to repay the favor a bit and have his band on the episode. We talked about how the wide age range in their band plays into their dynamic, about being a not-from-Craigslist Craigslist band, about other podcasts we all like, plus Fugazi got mentioned again in a very weird coincidence. That and they premier a new song at the end of the episode called “I Used To Be A Scientist,” so stick around for that. Thanks for listening! Air date: 4/16/2020.

Hung out via Discord with two-thirds of St. Paul’s Niiice. and chatted about the DIY scene in the Twin Cities area, favorite places to play, and they told a very weird story from an early tour that you’ll just have to hear because it’s too dense with strangeness for me to try and explain it. Enjoy the episode! Air date: 4/13/2020.

ITN 66(6) | Pursuer (Donny’s Basement, Canton, MI)

If you’re like me, you miss jamming big time. I joined this band Pursuer on guitar a few months ago, and we clicked fairly quickly both musically and otherwise. It really sucks not being able to jam with m’boys, but we finally got to put our heads together again for a bit via Discord podcast. This episode is basically an auditory document of our band dynamic, with maybe some of the crass turned down just a tad in case our moms listen. We talked about different approaches to writing and recording records, and debated who was more influential: Nirvana or Pink Floyd? Blink-182 or Green Day? Etc. We talked about how the band has changed since adding me as well, and how we have all adapted to a new dynamic pretty well. Hope you guys enjoy! Air date: 4/9/2020.

ITN 65 | Social Status (Ocean Springs, MS)

On this episode I chatted with the scene younglings in Social Status from Ocean Springs, Mississippi!? One more state checked off the list on the way to ITN world domination. But seriously, these guys have a wise-beyond-their-years approach toward being in a band that I only wish I had when I was 16-17. If they’re already this functional as a group, you can only imagine the potential they have if they keep this thing rolling into the primes of their musical lives. Cheesiest episode description ever? Check. For real though, follow this band and be on the lookout for new music from them soon. Air date:4/9/2020.

ITN 64 | Almost Made The Mixtape (Southeast MI)

Had a real good time chatting with AMTM on Discord, and we kinda rambled on for close to two hours but it was never NOT fun, so I hope that comes across to you listeners. We talked about balancing music with both work and family life, and talked about how the social dynamic of a band influences how the band operates musically, among other topics. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for listening! Air date: 4/7/2020.

ITN 63 | An Orgy of Critics (All-Podcaster Episode w/ The ‘E’ Word, Emo Trash, No One Cares About Your Band, Punks In Pubs, Invite The Neighbors)

This was a fun, special episode featuring a bunch of the voices you commonly hear on separate platforms talking about the music scene in their own lane, all hanging out in one chatroom for a change. I honestly thought it was going to be way more disorienting than it was, but it turned out to be a highly-stimulating and fairly cohesive conversation about a wide array of topics relevant to the music community we all love to hate. I hope you guys enjoy listening! Air date: 4/6/2020.

ITN 62 | The Summit Shack Crew Talks Fauxchella 4: Minecraft Edition (Bowling Green, OH)

Chatted up Discord with the beautiful people over at The Summit Shack about how they are making the best of a shitty situation by turning the Fourchella live event cancellation into a live streaming event via Minecraft/Twitch/Discord. It’s a pretty unique blend of the emo and gamer worlds and you’ll want to check it out! Fourchella is 4/17-4/18. Thanks for listening! Air date: 4/3/2020.

ITN 61(+8=69) | Charmer (Marquette, MI)

Chatted with two members of Charmer from Marquette, MI, whose new record “Ivy” is out 4/3/20 on No Sleep Records. We talked about their experience making this album vs. previous albums, what it’s like being in a band located in the middle of nowhere, as well as some other general tomfoolery. Be sure to check out their record and PLEASE share this podcast with a friend if you enjoyed it! Thanks for listening. Air date: 4/2/2020.
